Greenbrier West 21, Midland Trial 1
Crawley – Greenbrier West erupted for 10 runs in the second inning of Friday’s sectional matchup, topping Midland Trail 21-1 in Crawley.
Preslee Treadway drove in five runs for rest in the win while Emma Ames added three RBIs.
Brilee Redden picked up the win with 10 strikeouts in five innings.
West advances to Tuesday’s title game where it will host a team yet to be determined. Midland Trail will host the winner of Charleston Catholic-Richwood.
Independence 15, Shady Spring 0
Coal City – Independence pounded out 14 hits Friday, rolling to a 15-0 win over Shady Spring Friday in Coal City.
Emma Lilly drove in five runs in the win while Kendall Martin added a trio of RBIs. Shailee Sexton provided Shady’s only hit of the game.
Indy moves into the championship bracket where it will await the winner of tomorrow’s game between Shady Spring and Nicholas County.
