BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Honorable Andrew Dimlich, who serves Raleigh County, will be honored as Judge of the Year by the West Virginia CASA Association during the 2026 WV CASA Awards Gala, to be held Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Stonewall Resort.
Judge Dimlich was nominated by CASA of New River in recognition of his leadership, fairness, and commitment to prioritizing the best interests of children involved in the child welfare system throughout Raleigh County.
Judge Dimlich is known for his thoughtful approach on the bench and his deep understanding of the complexities faced by children and families navigating the court system. He consistently values collaboration with CASA advocates and approaches cases with integrity, compassion, and a focus on long-term safety and stability for children.
“Judge Andrew Dimlich exemplifies what it means to serve children and families with fairness, consistency, and heart,” said Dr. Kristi Dumas, Director of CASA of New River. “His courtroom is not just a place where decisions are made; it’s a place where children are seen, heard, and valued through court appointed advocacy. He sets the tone for safety, stability, and accountability, and he does it with a steady calm that keeps high-stress cases grounded in what truly matters: the best interests of the child.”
In addition to honoring Judge Dimlich, the WV CASA Awards Gala will recognize awardees in several other categories, including Attorney of the Year, CPS Worker of the Year, CASA Advocate of the Year, and Partner of the Year, highlighting excellence in child advocacy statewide.
“These honorees represent the very best of child advocacy in West Virginia,” said Shanna Gray, Executive Director of the West Virginia CASA Association. “Judge Dimlich’s leadership reflects the powerful role the judiciary plays in shaping outcomes for children when their safety, stability, and well-being are the priority.”
