CRAB ORCHARD, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Raleigh County man is facing serious allegations after a juvenile reported inappropriate behavior during a response to a domestic-related call earlier this month.
According to a report from Deputy J.R. Quesenberry, law enforcement was dispatched around 6:01 p.m. on April 9, 2026, to a residence in Crab Orchard regarding a juvenile issue. The call initially stemmed from concerns about a juvenile who had reportedly been in trouble at Independence High School earlier that day, involving alcohol.
While on scene, the juvenile requested to speak privately with the deputy and disclosed allegations of ongoing inappropriate conduct by a male relative. The juvenile claimed the individual had made lewd comments and engaged in unwanted physical contact over a period of time. She also stated that she had recorded some of the interactions on her phone.
Deputies obtained the phone and reviewed recordings, which reportedly included inappropriate conversations. During the investigation, the accused individual was advised of his rights and interviewed. According to the report, he acknowledged certain physical interactions but denied any sexual intent.
The juvenile later participated in a forensic interview at a child advocacy center in Beckley, where she reiterated her allegations, describing multiple instances of unwanted contact and stating the behavior had been ongoing.
The suspect, Lloyd Wesley King, has been charged with sexual abuse.
