SUMMERS COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One local man has set a new record for the largest rutabaga harvested in West Virginia.
According to the West Virginia Department of Agriculture (WVDA), Ryan Cook of Summers County certainly has a green thumb. He grew a 31lb 3oz rutabaga in his garden.
Cook’s harvest smashes the old WVDA record of 19lbs 4.6oz set last year, also by Cook himself.
And he’s not done yet! The WVDA says that Cook is working on record-setting rhubarb, cabbage, and carrot.
