DAVIS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A skier died Wednesday in an accident at Timberline Mountain in Davis, the resort announced in a statement.
“We are heartbroken to share the news of a fatality of a guest while skiing at Timberline Mountain on Wednesday, March 12th,” the statement read. “We want to express our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones affected by this tragedy.”
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
Timberline Mountain officials said they would not be releasing further details at this time out of respect for the family.
Resort staff thanked ski patrol, employees, and local first responders for their swift response.
“Timberline Mountain is committed to the safety and well-being of our guests,” the statement said. “Thank you for your support and compassion during this difficult time.”
