BOONE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Boone County man threatens his mother, “I will kill you and bury you in the backyard.”
A domestic altercation in Boone County turned violent on Sunday, September 29, 2024, when a man allegedly threatened to kill his mother during a confrontation at their residence on Coal River Road in Orgas.
At approximately 10:33 p.m., officers were dispatched to Coal River Road following a report of a possible domestic dispute in progress. Upon arrival, authorities made contact with the victim, who stated that her son, Jonathan Caleb Chapman, had become agitated and began yelling and screaming at her.
According to the victim, Chapman repeatedly got in her face, yelling, “I will kill you and bury you in the backyard.” He then began throwing and breaking objects throughout the residence. Fearing for her life, the victim fled the home.
The investigation is based on statements from the victim and witnesses. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office is handling the case, and no further details have been released at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
