SUMMERS COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Road conditions across Summers County remain hazardous following recent winter weather, according to Summers County 911.
Primary roads range from wet and salted to snowy, slushy, and icy in some areas. Crews began plowing secondary roads overnight and will continue throughout the day.
Secondary roads remain in varying conditions, from wet and salted to snow-covered and very slick. Officials urge drivers to use caution when traveling.
Conditions are expected to improve as the day progresses.
Power outages remain minimal, with Mon Power reporting four customers without electricity and AEP reporting five.
Looking ahead, emergency officials are monitoring potential flooding risks along the Bluestone and Greenbrier rivers later this week and into the weekend.
