RANDOLPH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two vehicles received severe damage after a tractor-trailer ran a stoplight and collided with a truck.
According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 10:30 AM on July 17, the RCSO responded to a two-vehicle accident at the Crystal Springs light.
The incident involved a tractor-trailer carrying around 40,000 pounds of poultry and a Ford Superduty pickup.
The tractor-trailer was traveling east on US 33 when it ran a red light and collided with the driver’s side of the pickup truck, resulting in severe damage to both vehicles. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The driver of the tractor-trailer received a citation.
The scene was managed with assistance from the West Virginia State Police, Randolph County EMS, Elkins Fire Department, and the WV Department of Highways.
