CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The West Virginia State Treasurer’s Office announced this weekend that it is actively seeking interns for the approaching summer period.
The internship is open to any student currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program, and offers up to 40 hours per week at the Charleston offices.
There are limited paid intern positions available, and a background check is required in order to obtain the role.
The announcement lists a number of areas in which those selected could potentially gain expertise, including,
- accounting
- administration/human resources
- information technology
- records management
- unclaimed property
- SMART529
- retirement plus
- jumpstart savings
- hope scholarship
- communications
- financial education
Resumes for the internship will be accepted starting April 4, 2022, and can be submitted at any time until April 30, 2022. Applicants should submit resumes to resumes@wvsto.com.
West Virginia residents have also been urged by the Treasurer’s Office, as of late, to check the official website for potential unclaimed property. It is free to search and to submit a claim for unclaimed property.
