CALHOUN COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two Parkersburg residents have been arrested following a months-long investigation into a series of burglaries in Calhoun County, according to the West Virginia State Police.
Troopers from the Grantsville Detachment began investigating multiple burglaries across Calhoun County in February 2026.
Through the course of the investigation, authorities identified suspects as 36-year-old Caleb Wayne Hart and 34-year-old Julie Shay Spry, both of Parkersburg.
On April 2, 2026, law enforcement conducted a traffic stop in Wood County involving a vehicle driven by Hart. During the stop, officers recovered a significant amount of stolen property.
The following day, April 3, troopers executed a search at a residence in Parkersburg, where approximately $100,000 worth of suspected stolen property was recovered.
Hart and Spry were both arrested and charged with possession of stolen property. Hart was arraigned and is currently being held at North Central Regional Jail. Spry was also arraigned and later released on bond.
Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges are pending.
