WALTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two fugitives from Ohio have been arrested in West Virginia.
According to the West Virginia State Police (WVSP), on Thursday, January 11, 2024, members of the WVSP Spencer Detachment received information regarding two fugitives from the Clevland, OH area possibly staying at a residence on Cottontree Road in the Walton area of Roane County.
Troopers were able to verify the fugitives were at the location.
The Troopers obtained a search warrant for the residence and arrested Mark Anthony Szwed, 35 of Cleveland, OH on felony charges of Child Neglect, Felonious Assault, and Unlawful Assault.
Troopers located multiple firearms in the residence and learned Matthew Ramey, 32 of Walton, WV was a convicted felon.
Matthew Ramey was subsequently arrested and charged with being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
