FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two men from Kanawha County are facing multiple felony charges in connection with the theft and destruction of utility infrastructure in Fayette County.
According to Fayette County Sheriff Jess McMullen, deputies were alerted on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 9, 2025, about individuals reportedly cutting down power poles in the Kincaid area.

Upon arrival, deputies located two men on a side-by-side ATV with a trailer in a power line clearing. Inside the trailer, deputies observed pieces of power lines.
They also discovered three power poles that had been cut down and a fourth that showed signs of an attempted cut.
Joshua E. Redden and Joshua D. Clark, both residents of Cabin Creek, have been charged with three felony offenses: Grand Larceny, Destruction of Property, and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department notes that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
