LOGAN COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One vacant West Virginia home has been destroyed in a Tuesday night fire.
According to the City of Logan Fire Department (LFD), at 11:50 PM on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, the LFD was dispatched to West Logan for a structure fire with possible entrapment.
Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke showing from the structure.
A fire attack was established and crews began to search the residence, after intense searching, they were able to establish no occupants were in the residence.
The fire was extinguished quickly. The home was vacant and appeared to be occupied by squatters.
One firefighter was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. One engine crew, one rescue, and one squad responded to the scene.
