FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Virginia woman has been sentenced for a felony drug crime in Fayette County.
Anthony Ciliberti, Jr., Prosecuting Attorney, announces that on February 5, 2024, Ashley A. Williams, age 37, of Pembroke, Virginia, was sentenced to prison by Circuit Judge Thomas H. Ewing to one (1) to fifteen (15) years in prison for the felony offense of possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl with the intent to deliver.
Williams must serve one year in prison before being eligible for parole.
On February 9, 2023, an Oak Hill Police Officer was on routine patrol on Route 19 when he initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle.
The Officer could small marijuana upon approaching the vehicle.
During a search of the vehicle, the Officer located 4.5 grams of methamphetamine and .2 grams of fentanyl along with packaging materials.
This case was investigated by the Oak Hill Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Amy McLaughlin.
