CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – As of July 1, 2022, the West Virginia Lottery now accepts credit cards as payments.
The approved Legislative Rule 179CSR1 allows credit cards can be used as payments to buy traditional lottery tickets. There is a cap of 200 dollars, but there is no minimum, which will allow the retailer to set a minimum charge if they choose to do so.
Retailers do not have to allow credit card purchases if they do not want to, but if they do, they must post a sign that they accept credit cards as payments.
