HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) — Officials with the U.S. Marshals Southern District of West Virginia CUFFED Task Force and West Virginia State Police reported the results of Operation Early Spring.
Operation Early Spring was a weeklong operation targeting non-complaint sex offenders in Cabell County and the surrounding areas. Between March 18, 2024 and March 22, 122 sex offenders compliance checks were performed by West Virginia State Police. Out of the 122, four were found to be out of compliance and were served warrants for arrest. One sex offender wanted by the WVSP was arrested in Maryland by U.S. Marshals.
The U.S. Marshals Service also found three sex offenders to be in violation of the Adam Walsh Act and have opened criminal investigations on them. One missing juvenile was also recovered by the CUFFED Task Force.
