September 12: Music on Main
From 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sunday, September 12, Harmony for Hope will host its last Music on Main event.
Join Harmony for Hope each Sunday morning on Main Street for inspirational music, coffee and community. Get updated on what’s going on in the area, share stories about what you’re doing and enjoy the company of neighbors on your way to your Sunday morning place of worship.
This event will take place outdoors.

September 14: Youth Collage Workshop
Join instructors, Abby and Saja at the Beckley Art Center for a fun and thoughtful Youth College Workshop.
Participants will learn the art of collaging- making a piece of art by sticking various different materials such as photographs and pieces of paper or fabric onto a backing.
The class, which is recommended for ages six to 10, will be held on Tuesday, September 14 from 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Parents are welcome to stay or drop off.

September 15: Pub n’ Play
Join those at the Gaines Estate on Wednesday, September 15, for Pub n’ Play- a night filled with fun, laughter and delicious drinks. The house bar will be open to the public from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
According to event organizers, there will be yard games, live music and food trucks.
The Gaines Estate is located at 225 W. Maple Street in Fayetteville.

The 30th Annual Grape Stompin’ Festival will be held in Summersville on Friday, September 17, and Saturday, September 18, 2021. The event will be filled with lots of wine, events and song.

September 17: Oak Hill Pilates at Lively Amphitheater
Join Active Southern West Virginia Community Captains for “Thank Goodness It’s Friday Pilates.”
The event will take place at the Lively Amphitheater from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, September 17, and will repeat weekly through September.
According to event organizers, pilates is a posture-based movement practice designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, posture, and enhance mental awareness. This class is appropriate for all fitness levels. Modifications and up-leveling will be offered to provide an engaging movement experience for all.
Participants are asked to bring their own mat and a small towel. No other equipment is needed.

September 17: Sewing Workshop
Join instructor Abby Durham at the Beckley Art Center for a fun and informative sewing workshop.
During this intro-level sewing class, students will go through the entire process of creating a makeup/ accessory bag.
All materials will be provided, however, the Beckley Art Center encourages participants to bring their own fabric if they have a certain look or design in mind.
The class is open for those ages 12 and older, but ages 13 to 35 are recommended. The class will last from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

September 17: DJ Strizy Dance Party Live at The Lost Paddle
Join DJ Strizy at The Lost Paddle from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. for a free show.
According to event organizers, the artistic styling of DJ Strizy has been formed by his unique and diverse love of modern music. He brings a sense of euphoric elevation through his personal style and devotion to the elements of music that bring your senses alive. He is the element that you need to make your personal need for a DJ become an experience that will force your ears to open and your body to move.
The Lost Paddle Lodge is located at 1 Concho Road in Oak Hill.
September 18 through September 19: 39th Annual Lumberjackin’ Bluegrassin’ Jamboree
The 39th Annual Lumberjackin’ Bluegrassin’ Festival will take place on Saturday, September 18, and Sunday, September 19, 2021.
The event will be filled with competitive lumberjack events, a lumberjack bluegrass jamboree and vendors featuring area crafts, food, and more. Live music will be provided by The Lilly Mountaineer Band on both days.
The event will take place at the Twin Falls Resort State Park.
September 18: Wings & Wheels Festival
An annual festival filled with vintage cars and planes will take place at the historic Hinton-Alderson Airport in Pence Springs on September 18.
The Wings & Wheels Festival will include live bluegrass music, the History of WV Aviation, food, vendors and more.

September 18: Pottery for Beginners with Chris Boyd
Join potter Chris Boyd in learning a few basic techniques of hand-building with clay. Students will create a few simple projects, such as pinch pots, flat ornaments and a slab tray.
The class, which will be held in two different sessions, will last two hours. The first class will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with another to follow from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A follow-up class will be held in November after the pieces have dried and are bisque fired. Chris will then go over glazing techniques so participants can glaze their own creations.
After the pieces are fired they can be picked up at the BAC holiday market.
All materials for the class will be provided. All skills are welcome, but the class is recommended for ages 13 and older.

September 18: The M.F.B. Live @ The Lost Paddle
Join the M.F.B. live for a free show at The Lost Paddle on September 18. M.F.B. will perform from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
