MLK WEEKEND HOURS & HELPFUL INFORMATION
Saturday, January 18 through Monday, January 20 Winterplace is open for skiing and snowtubing from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
MLK is one of the busiest weekends for Winterplace. The resort recommends guests pick up their passes and rentals for Saturday on Friday night from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. to expedite the ticketing and rental process. Saturday morning the ticket window and rental shop will open two hours earlier beginning at 7 a.m.
WINTER SKI & BOARD PROGRAMS
Winterplace 4-Week Club Program
The Ski and Snowboard Club Program is an affordable way for families to stay active this winter with discounted pricing, group lessons and easy online registration. Open to all ability levels ages eight and up, the Club provides each member one lift ticket and rental equipment per week, for a total of four times, per four-week session. Each member can choose their designated day of the week and up to three beginner lessons. Rentals are picked up and returned each visit, passes are non-transferable. As a value-added bonus to members, upon completion of all four Club visits, members will receive a Wild Wonderful discount pass, valued at $79. “SkiWee” & “Snow Explorer” Children’s Program (Ages 5-12)
Winterplace “SkiWee” and “Snow Explorer” Children’s Program is designed for kids ages five to 12. Priced at $130 per session, each program includes an area ticket, ski or snowboard equipment rental, helmet and on-snow instruction. Families can choose either a morning (9 a.m. – 12 p.m. or afternoon (1 p.m. – 4 p.m.) session. The program combines the fun of discovery and the excitement of mastering news skills, all in a safe environment. Children are led by skilled Winterplace instructors. Winterplace Development Race Team (Ages 6-14)
Junior skiers with a need for speed and interest in some friendly competition can join the Winterplace Development Race Team. Designed for beginner to intermediate skiers ages 6-14, it concentrates on building basic skill development with a focus on entry level racing. It is taught in a fun and active manner by instructors with an expertise in junior ski teaching. The program goal is to develop better skiing skills in an atmosphere of friendship and camaraderie. JANUARY 2025 UPCOMING EVENTS
Friday Night Gates
Friday, January 17, 24 and 31 at 6 p.m.
Winterplace offers a race league for skiers & boarders ages 18 and up who want to learn the ins and outs of racing gates. Beginners are welcome and encouraged. to participate in this fun and community-based event. The first two meetups will offer a race clinic to allow newbies and vets to get their feet wet. The races will be recorded in World Cup points weekly and accumulatively. Winners & prizes each week.
Throwdown Thursdays
Thursday, January 23 and 30, from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Heaven Holler Terrain Park
First-timers to seasoned pros are encouraged to participate in the resort’s weekly “Throwdown Thursday” freestyle competition. The friendly, laid-back competition is designed to give participants an opportunity to work on new skills and challenge themselves as much (or as little) as they like. There is no pressure. It’s also a great chance for freestylers to learn new techniques, build confidence, and tackle jumps, rails, and boxes at their own pace in a fun and social atmosphere.
