KIMBERLY, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Sunday morning domestic disturbance in Fayette County ended with one woman under arrest after deputies found signs of violence and property damage inside a Kimberly home.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched around 11 a.m. on January 11, 2026, to a residence on Armstrong Creek Road following a 911 call reporting a domestic incident.
When deputies arrived, they were met inside the home by the suspect’s mother, who led them through the residence. Investigators observed a shattered lamp shade with glass scattered across the living room floor, along with a damaged gaming console that had been thrown to the ground. In a back bedroom, a dresser drawer had been ripped out and left on the floor.
Deputies then spoke with the suspect’s brother, who reported a physical altercation with his sister shortly before the 911 call was made. Officers observed multiple scratch marks on his chest and a bite mark on his upper right arm, which he said were inflicted during the altercation. He declined medical treatment and provided a written statement.
A third individual at the scene told deputies he witnessed the incident and reported that the suspect picked up a piece of broken glass and began cutting herself. He said he intervened to take the glass away and suffered a minor injury in the process. He declined to provide a formal statement.
After interviewing those involved and documenting injuries and damage, deputies determined the woman was the primary aggressor. The victims were informed of their rights and how to obtain a domestic violence protective order.
Alley Dawn Roman was arrested at the scene and charged with domestic battery. She was transported to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department in Fayetteville for processing.
