OHIO (LOOTPRESS) – An individual is accused of killing a 3-year-old child with a knife in a senseless attack outside a supermarket in Ohio, as reported by authorities.
The young boy and his mother were both attacked around 3 p.m. on Monday in the parking area of a Giant Eagle in North Olmsted, approximately 15 miles from Cleveland, according to the North Olmsted police. The child was stabbed in the back and cheek, police reported.
His mother, Margot Wood, managed to survive with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, according to the police.
The accused, 32-year-old Bionca Ellis, was arrested. Ellis and the victims had no prior connection, according to the police. “We extend our deepest condolences to the two individuals who have fallen victim to what seems to be an act of random violence,” said North Olmsted Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones in a statement.
Ellis is being charged with aggravated murder, according to the police.
