UPDATE: ROCK VIEW (LOOTPRESS) – A water line issue affecting residents in the Rock View area Sunday evening has reportedly been resolved.
The latest in a series of water issues to impact the Rock View area, a leak announced Sunday evening by the Town of Pineville was rectified over the ensuing hours with completion of repairs having been confirmed at around 10:00pm Sunday night.
“Water is back on,” read the update. “Big thanks to the guys for coming out and taking care of the situation. Sorry for the inconvenience!”
No indication was given as to whether residents in impacted areas should expect to adhere to a boil water advisory upon restoration of the utility.
While repairs for the preceding leak – which impacted water service of Rock View residents in late September – ran considerably over the anticipated completion time of “several hours,” the most recent issue was handily addressed in just that.

ROCK VIEW, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Wyoming County area of Rock View is experiencing water issues yet again in the wake of a line leak which was announced Sunday evening.
The development, as reported by the Town of Pineville on Sunday, comes less than a week after the resolution of a previous leak which left some residents without water for a number of days.
“[We are] so sorry to say that another leak has popped up in the Rockview area,” read the announcement, making reference to last week’s line issues. “We truly hope to get this fixed in a more timely fashion.”
It has been reported that the intent is for necessary repairs to be conducted as quickly as possible, though no estimated time for completion has yet been provided.
While repairs for last Sunday’s leak were estimated to take several hours to complete, subsequent technical issues extended repair times noticeably.
Upon completion of the repairs, residents in affected areas operated under a boil water advisory for a time, which can be assumed to be the case once the latest line issues are addressed.
LOOTPRESS will continue to provide updates to the situation as information becomes available.
