WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – UPDATE 6/19/25 4:26 PM: A Wyoming County man has been arrested and charged with multiple felony counts of possession of child pornography following a year-long investigation by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office.
On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, Sergeant Tyler Sizemore of the Crimes Against Children Unit arrested Ronald “Poncho” Sinecoff on felony charges stemming from an ongoing investigation into alleged child sexual abuse material (CSAM) possession.
The case began in late December 2023, when Sergeant Logan Cook and Corporal Jacob Ellison received a report that Sinecoff had allegedly solicited a minor using an electronic device.
Deputies obtained a search warrant from the Wyoming County Magistrate’s Office and seized several digital devices from Sinecoff’s residence as potential evidence.
In April 2025, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office launched its first in-house digital forensics unit.
Using this new technology, officers analyzed the previously seized devices and recovered multiple images of CSAM, which led to Sinecoff’s initial arrest.
During his June 17 arrest, Sinecoff was read his Miranda rights and agreed to an interview with Sergeant Sizemore and Captain Tommy Blankenship.
In that interview, he voluntarily admitted to possessing CSAM on his cell phone, which was then seized.
A second search warrant was obtained, and forensic analysis of the phone revealed approximately 25 disturbing CSAM videos, many obtained via the Telegram app. The material included graphic abuse of prepubescent girls.
As a result of the evidence recovered, Sinecoff now faces an additional felony charge for possession of more than 600 images of child sexual abuse material, as defined under West Virginia law.
Ronald Sinecoff is currently being held at the Southern Regional Jail.
