UPDATE: JESSE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Oceana Fire Department reports that as of 8:00am a single lane is open to traffic at the site of a Thursday morning log truck accident.
Motorists backed up as a result of the vehicle accident Thursday are beginning to trickle through with the lane opening. It was further reported that no injuries have been sustained as a result of the accident.
Rt. 10 next to the Matheney Graveyard will remain closed until further notice, however, according to reports.

JESSE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A vehicle incident in Wyoming County Thursday has resulted in a road closure which could affect traffic in the area for a number of hours.
As announced Thursday morning by the Wyoming County Board of Education, a logging truck has turned over in the Jesse area, leading to the closure of a road as the situation is addressed.
While the specific area in which the accident took place has not yet been provided, reports indicate that the road in the area will be shut down “for approximately 2 hours.”
Additionally, several Wyoming County Schools buses will not be making their morning runs in light of these developments, affecting students of Westside High School, Wyoming East High School, Oceana Middle School, Glen Fork Elementary and Middle School, and Berlin McKinney Elementary School.
Buses whose AM runs will be affected include the following,
Bus 122 – Sissy
Bus 212 – Jewel
Bus 140 Cindy
Bus 214 – Josh
