LORADO, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Several individuals were taken into custody last week following a Logan County altercation which allegedly involved several weapons.
According to the West Virginia State Police, on Sunday, November 19, 2023, WVSP Troopers responded to the Lorado area of Logan, WV in response to a reported physical domestic altercation. The altercation in question – which occurred between two males identified as Timothy Davis and Kevin Kolovich, respectively – was said to have escalated to the point where both individuals began brandishing firearms and making threats.
The caller, a third-party individual who was at the location of the events but did not directly observe the initiating of the situation, advised she had been woken up by Cassandra Cline, who had been running through the house stating that Davis was going to kill Kolovich with a firearm. This individual also corroborated the caller’s claims that Kolovich was in possession of a pistol and Davis a rifle.
Yet another individual, identified in reports from law enforcement as Lori Bailey, commandeered Kolovich’s firearm and began to brandish it. Authorities were ultimately able to locate the purported rifle and knife, along with a used bottle of pepper spray and multiple furniture items which sustained damage as a result of the altercation.
While attempting to determine the location of the firearms involved, reports indicate that Cline obstructed officers, making misleading claims the pistol having only been a “Nerf gun” and becoming confrontational with law enforcement.
Davis was confirmed by authorities to have received multiple felony convictions which prevent him from legally possessing a firearm, as is the case with Kolovich who, “is known by these officer[s] to be a habitual drug user.”
Kolovich was charged with Domestic Assault, Domestic Battery, Prohibited Person with a Firearm and Brandishing a Deadly Weapon. Bailey was charged with Brandishing a Deadly Weapon, while Bailey was charged with Obstructing an Officer.
