UPDATE: The Rupert Water Department has issued an update regarding work currently being conducted for the repair of a line leak at the railroad tracks on the east end of town.
The repairs were initially announced on Thursday, with town residents being informed that the ongoing work could impact water pressure in multiple areas.
Water service will be restored later in the day on Friday, according to the RWD, and those impacted by the repair will be required to adhere to a Boil Water Advisory upon restoration of service.

RUPERT, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Residents of the Town of Rupert can anticipate changes in water utility conditions as town officials work to repair a reported line leak on Thursday.
According to a statement from the Rupert Water Department, a line leak at the railroad tracks on the East end of Rupert is currently being assessed.
Multiple areas throughout the town will have little to no water pressure as a result of the ongoing repair effort. Restoration of the water utility is expected to occur later in the day on Thursday at an unspecified point.
Nonetheless, upon restoration of water, those impacted by the repair and lack of water pressure will be required to adhere to a Boil Water Advisory until such a time that safety conditions of the town’s water supply can be positively confirmed.
