PARKERSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Deputies were called to the scene of an unusual vehicle accident on Wednesday at the Staunton Turnpike.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, Deputies responded to Staunton Turnpike in reference to a vehicle accident purportedly involving a bull.
The driver involved informed Deputies that she crested the hill headed towards Wirt County when a bull stepped into the road and hit the passenger side of her vehicle.
The vehicle involved was towed from the site of the accident. No injuries were reported to have been sustained by the driver.
The bull involved did sustain injuries as a result of the collision, however. The bill’s left leg was reportedly left broken, and the animal is said to have been bleeding from the mouth following the incident.
Authorities at the scene notified the owner of what had transpired. Once the owner arrive at the crash site, the decision was made to dispatch the bull. The animal was then loaded into a trailer and transported from the scene.
