CHARLES TOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Downtown Trick-or-Treat event will be held in Charles Town this Saturday.
According to the Charles Town Police Department, the “Downtown Trick or Treat” event will be held on Saturday, October 21st.
This event will begin at 5:00 p.m. and conclude at 7:00 p.m.
Traffic is expected to be congested throughout the downtown area during this event as roadway closures and parking restrictions will be in place.
Parking restrictions will begin at approximately 4:00 p.m. and roadway closures will begin at approximately 4:45 p.m. Roadways will immediately re-open to traffic at the conclusion of the event.
Washington Street (WV Route 51) from the intersection of West Street to the intersection of Mildred Street, will be closed to all traffic.
In addition, the 100 block of North George Street (WV Route 115) and the 100 block of South George Street (WV Route 115) will be closed to all traffic.
Motorists traveling westbound on WV Route 51 are encouraged to use Liberty Street as an alternate route. Motorists traveling eastbound on WV Route 51 are encouraged to use Congress Street as an alternate route.
Motorists traveling northbound and southbound on WV Route 115 are encouraged to use Mildred Street as an alternate route.
Lengthy delays are expected during this event due to the anticipated high volume of pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
