(LOOTPRESS) – American fast food restaurant chain, KFC last month introduced its latest menu addition, the Chizza – an entree which, as the name suggests, utilizes ingredients from both pizza and fried to chicken to create something new.
Bringing to mind the 2010 concoction released by the chain – the Double Down sandwich – the Chizza offers a unique dining experience featuring two crispy fried chicken filets topped with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni slices.
“Fried chicken and pizza collaborated to create something even better – the Chizza,” said Nick Chavez, Chief Marketing Officer for KFC U.S. “The fan-favorite mashup is finally available in the U.S. after making its way around the world – try it while you can!”
The Chizza actually originates in 2015, at which time it debuted in the Philippines before making its way around the world to Korea, Taiwan, India, Thailand, Germany, Spain and Mexico, among other countries. The KFC exclusive has now made its way to the United States for the very first time.
Those interested can order the Chizza now or learn more about the new menu item at the KFC website.
