Karen Ann “Wheel” George Norris, age 70, of Bluefield, WV., passed away on Wednesday, May 5th, 2021, peacefully at home. She was born on Easter Sunday, March 25th,1951, at Bluefield Sanitarium, a daughter of Shirley Ann George and late Abe Fulton George. She was a lifelong resident of Bluefield and worked for several doctors and the hospital for most of her career. She was a member of Maple View Church of Christ. Karen was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother “Meme.” Anyone who knew Karen, knew her for her contagious laugh and personality. Karen was happiest around her family and spoiling her grandbabies. “To know her is to love her.” -Samuel Rogers. Karen is survived by her husband of 22 years; Michael Norris, children Stephenie Sarver, Stephen Vaught (Carrie), Cammie Woodyard (Steve); sister Regina Rarick (Merlin); brother Phil George (Susie); grandchildren Brett Norris, Devon Williams, Alexa Williams, Erin Hager, Ashlyn Hager, Brendan Vaught, Brooke Vaught, Bradley Vaught, and Mckenzie Woodyard; best friends Connie Dinger and Kathy Riley; several nieces and nephews; and a abundance of friends and family. The Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, May 10th, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. in the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory in Princeton, WV., with Minister Tony Reed officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Bluefield Union Mission, 2203 Bluefield Avenue, Bluefield, WV 24701. Due to the Governor’s mandate, masks and social distancing, will be observed.
