CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Link Transportation, a Charleston-based mobility company, launches a new transportation model, Link P.M., and mobile application, Link Local, to highlight local events and local businesses during their ribbon cutting ceremony of their operations today in Charleston.
“There is a gap in transportation options in the area for night service,” said Jeb Corey, CEO of Link. “Link PM will allow rideshare drivers to use our platform for little to no cost during the nighttime hours. This will allow those drivers to use a local-based rideshare platform and keep most or all of the revenue from trips. We want to create a ride local model with ridesharing.”
Link PM will be offered to interested drivers to use the Link dispatching platform between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., at little to no cost per trip through the company’s transportation Mobile App. The goal of the program will be to provide a local platform for transportation drivers to use and to build up resources in the area for transportation during the nighttime hours. Drivers utilizing Link PM may also take advantage of Link’s in-house auto maintenance services, Link Auto, at a discounted rate.
“There is a lot of flexibility in the Link Transportation platform,” said Corey. “At Link, we want to provide drivers with the tools to be entrepreneurs. We want to invest in those interested drivers and support them with resources, that’s the benefit with connecting with a local company.”
Link’s other services include the usage of Link’s vehicles to do transportation work for rideshare such as Uber or Lyft, food delivery such as Uber Eats, Grub Hub, Door Dash and others, Taxi, Non-Emergency Medical Transportation and other transportation work. The platform is set-up to be a resource for organizations needing transportation, as well. Senior centers, hospital systems, bus systems, delivery services, special events, and others can use the Link platform to connect with transportation services in the area.
“Our goal is to be a mobility resource to link up our community with not only transportation resources, but highlighting small local business in Charleston and surrounding areas,” said Corey. “It’s challenging to be a small business owner, we want to help market and promote the regions entrepreneurs through both of our mobile apps.”
Along with Link P.M., Link has launched the Link Local App to highlight area small businesses and local events all in one place. The platform can assist in helping small business owners with marketing resources and help customers know what is going-on and where.
“How often do you hear, there is nothing going on?,” said Corey. “We know this is not true, the issue is a lack of central location for people to get their information, Link Local can put everything at your fingertips. Our platform pulls all the event information together for you to plan your weekend.”
For businesses, Link Local will be offering special feature promotions, marketing resources, and other promotions through the platform. Those business interested in learning more about Link Local’s business’ resources can contact Link through www.linkwv.com
