GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is facing serious charges after threatening to kill a bunch of people, including police and their families, due to someone stealing his ATV.
According to authorities, William Evans called 911, saying he was going to Beckley to kill a female. He gave dispatchers his name and said he was made because someone stole his ATV. He continued telling dispatchers that he would hurt and kill people.
When asked if he would hurt the officers when they arrived, he stated: “if they showed up, they would find out.” Evans also told them he was using drugs and that he would get his AR-15 and kill many people because he was at his breaking point.
Police found Evans walking south on WV Route 20 near the Fayette and Greenbrier county line. Evans was shortly arrested and became very violent and agitated with the officers. He also made threats toward the officers’ families. Police said he refused to stop cussing and yelling.
Evans was charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct. He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 5,000 dollar bond.
