PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Mercer County Commission will be holding a Flood Mitigation Meeting on Tuesday for residents impacted by flood damage.
According to Mercer County Commission President Bill Archer, all citizens within the unincorporated areas of Mercer County, who have received substantial damage in the past due to flooding, are encouraged to attend the meeting, which will take place at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, in the Mercer County Commission Courtroom located on the second floor of the Mercer County Courthouse.
State representatives of the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMPG) will reportedly be in attendance for the event to explain the program and eligibility for inclusion in the Mercer County Commission HMPG application.
Those interested in participating in a State/FEMA “Buyout” program are especially urged to attend in order to obtain information which may be pertinent to their respective circumstances.
