CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Multiple schools in southern West Virginia had to close on Monday due to flooding issues.
According to the West Virginia Department of Education, Ashford-Rumble Elementary, Sherman Elementary School, Sherman High School, Sherman Junior High School, and Whitesville Elementary School in Boone County all closed due to Monday’s flooding.
In Kanawha County, Carver Career Center, Du Pont Middle School, East Bank Middle School, and Riverside High School were also all closed on Monday due to flooding.
Chesapeake Elementary School was dismissed at 10 AM on Monday due to no power.
