FALLING WATERS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Sunday afternoon fire in Berkeley County claimed the life of an adult male, according to the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office.
Firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire in the 100 block of Narrow Lane near Falling Waters just after noon on March 9.
After extinguishing the blaze, responders discovered the victim’s body in the debris.
The deceased has been transported to the West Virginia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy and identification.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
