Born May 21, 1941 in Piney View, WV, she was the daughter of Robert Alec Bragg and Eva Richmond Bragg.
She was a 1960 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. In 1961 she married the love of her life, James Madison Nary, Jr. a United States Career Marine and they were blessed with two Daughters and one granddaughter.
Mrs. Nary retired in 1995 from the VA Medical Center in Beckley, where she held many positions. Her past employment included C&P Telephone Company, B&B Bank, Marine Corp Base, Camp LeJeune NC, Marine Corp Supply Center, Albany Georgia, Ireland Army Troop Medical Clinic, Ft Knox KY. and Hospice of Beckley. She was very much liked and respected by those she worked with, she was also a devoted Christian and faithfully served the Lord, she had served as a Sunday School teacher, also participated in many Bible Study Groups and church activities. She was a past member of Piney View Bible Church and at present time she is a member of Bible Baptist Church, MacArthur WV.
She was known to be a very considerate and caring person, an inspiration to many. Always extending help, encouragement and much consideration for the feelings of others. This she demonstrated often to the basic trainees and the veterans whom she worked with and shared a special bonding having been married to a military person.
In addition to her parents, Robert and Eva Bragg, her Step Father George W. Burdette, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Master Sgt James Madison Nary, Jr.
She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly M. Solomon of Bloomington, IN, Melissa R. Nary of Myrtle Beach, SC and a special granddaughter, Victoria M. Solomon of Bloomington, IN. Also, one sister Charlotte Ferguson of London, WV. Two sister in-laws, Betty Sarrett and husband Roger of Beckley, WV, and Sandra Vandall of Beckley, WV. Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, also many, many great friends whom she loved and appreciated so much.
Funeral Services will be conducted at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens on Thursday, April 25th, 2024 at 2PM with Pastor Sam Green officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Burial will follow at the Blue Ridge Mausoleum.
