MORGANTOWN, WV ( LOOTPRESS) – A planned power outage scheduled to occur on Wednesday of next week looks to impact hundreds of residents throughout the Morgantown area for a portion of the day.
Monongalia County Emergency Management reports that a scheduled outage will occur on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, to facilitate the upgrading of facilities.
274 customers will reportedly be affected by the outage, the effects of which will be seen in the vicinities of Brands Run Road, 722 – Brookhaven Road, Burnt Meeting House Road, Dustin Lane, Lower Hildebrand, Booth Road, 79-Hildebrand Road, Katelyn Lane, Kenneth Lane, Landis Lane, 235 – Connor School Road, River Road from 1200-1500, Saylor Road, 62 – Schifano Lane, Shumiloff Lane, Sterle Lane, and Tram Street.
Reports indicate the possibility of a rescheduling of the outage for Thursday, September 7, 2023, in the event of inclement weather. Those with questions pertaining to the planned outage are encouraged to contact Mon Power Customer Service at (800) 686-0022.
