UPDATE: Authorities have located a missing paraplegic man who reportedly survived overnight after his vehicle ran out of gas in a remote area.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office reports that Lackey was discovered alive late Thursday morning by members of the WV Division of Forestry.
Lackey was transported to the hospital to receive treatment for non-life threatening injuries before returning safely home.

VAN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Authorities are currently seeking assistance from the public in determining the location of a missing, paraplegic male.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office reports that Terry Shane Lackey – a 51-year-old male of Boone County, WV – went missing on Monday, December 11, 2023.
Lackey, who is 5’9” and 185 pounds with  red hair and blue eyes, was last seen driving a dark green 2007 GMC Envoy Denali (WV registration 7EB952) leaving Van Little General.
He is said to have been traveling south on WV Route 85 at 1:24pm at the time of his disappearance.
