BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Members of the Raleigh County Commission met last week for a Regular Session meeting at which fund requests were taken into consideration.
A local funds request for the Clear Fork Rails to Trails project in the amount of $1637.38 saw a motion for approval early on during the session. This motion was seconded, and the request approved.
AML Payment #17 for the Clear Fork Rail to Trails project in the amount of $469,015 likewise saw approval during the meeting.
Also presented for consideration was the issuing of preliminary engineering expense for an industrial site to be established on Airport Road with the NRGRDA in the amount of 50,000. The figure, according to Commission President Dave Tolliver, is applied to all county infrastructure projects in order to accommodate the early engineering stages, after which the funds go back to the commission to be rotated into the next county infrastructure project.
A motion for approval of preliminary engineering expenses for an industrial site on Airport Road saw passage during Tuesday’s session.
