The Raleigh County Public Library announced this afternoon the return of their weekly Story Time activity for 2022.
The popular event features crafts, playtime, and of course, story-telling. It will occur each week on Wednesday, at either 10:30am or 1:30pm.
Those with children 2 years of age or younger are encouraged to bring them along each week for Sing and Sign Toddler Time, which will take place at 10:30am each Tuesday.
An extensive list of activities and story themes scheduled from this month to May of this year was also shared via the location’s Facebook page.
Among the themes shared are holiday themes such as Valentine’s Day and Groundhog’s Day, as well as animal-based themes including frogs and kangaroos.
The first activity scheduled for the new year will be a celebration of the 100th anniversary of Winnie the Pooh’s 100 Acre Wood. For this activity, kids will be able to decorate their very own honey jar, which they will then get to fill with a treat.
Also announced was the return of “Once Upon a Slime,” an event in which participants make their own slime. The next occurance of this activity will be Saturday, January 15th, at which honeycomb slime will be made. No signup is required for this activity.
