According to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, K-9 “Scio” is a bloodhound and will begin training soon. His handler will be Cpl. Justin Howard.
“Our bloodhounds are great people trackers, and are commonly used to find missing people and fleeing suspects,” said Raleigh County Sheriff Jim Canaday.
K-9 “Scio” was purchased with donations from Little General Stores, Calacino’s Pizzeria and Sports Bar, and the Punishers Motorcycle Club, a Law Enforcement and first responder club.
