RIPLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Randy Halstead (R-Jackson), announces that he is running for the House of Delegates in the open District 16 seat in Jackson County. Randy is a Christian, a businessman, and a devoted family man. Randy has truly lived the American Dream. From humble beginnings as a child raised in a miner’s home, Randy has risen from the depths of poverty to running and operating a successful business in Charleston for 20+ years.
“From family to the workplace, I believe in personal responsibility in all things,” Halstead said. “I credit every success in my life to the values I learned at home as a boy. Faith in Jesus Christ, hard work, and a dedication to succeed, have allowed me to truly live the American Dream.”
Halstead sees less opportunities for West Virginians to prosper than were present throughout his life and believes he is the best candidate to help move West Virginia forward.
Halstead said, “The American Dream is now hard to come by and government that ignores the needs and values of its people is to blame. Greed, self-service, and secularism has driven society toward a downward spiral. I want to serve the people of Jackson County in the West Virginia House of Delegates because I believe I am best positioned to serve.”
“I’m not looking for a job; I have spent my entire life working and growing a business that now employs several people. I’m not looking for money because the Lord has blessed me with more than I will ever need. I’m running because I want to give back to the state that has given so much to me, create a better life for the next generation, and defend our values,” Halstead said.
Randy lives in Jackson County with his wife, Pam, and his dog, Luke.
