HINTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Excitement is stirring among residents of Summers County and surrounding areas for the coming addition of a Roses Discount Store in Hinton.
Reports of intentions to establish a Summers County location for the regional chain first came earlier this year when the City of Hinton revealed that contact had been made regarding a deal.
This correspondence saw the City of Hinton agreeing to move forward with Regency Properties on construction for the new department store locale, which will be the site of the former Magic Mart at 302 Stokes Drive.
A projected opening of October was given for the location in early 2022.
While no official opening date has been provided at this time, plans to be effectively moving forward, as the familiar signage bearing the “Roses” logo and secondary text, “Home, Apparel, Deals & More” can already be seen at the face of the former Magic Mart location.
“Do not doubt, Roses is coming to town,” said Summers County Commissioner Mike Gore, seemingly to confirm the impending arrival of the popular department store.
The City of Hinton has also announced dates for Hinton Railroad Days, which will take place from Thursday, October 20th to Sunday, October 23rd.
More information and updates from the City of Hinton can be found on the city website.
