According to Putnam County 911/Emergency Management, CSX Transportation has announced that they will be having a tie team starting in Putnam County on Monday, March 18, 2024.
This will require a total closure of the railroad crossings. A total closure means no traffic will be allowed across the track until the work is complete.
The three crossings are as follows:
1. Tackett Branch Road – Hurricane – closing on March 18 from 7 am to 7 pm.
A message board will be displayed on March 8th to notify these citizens of the closure. This is a one-way in/out for the residents that live on this road.

Southern Commercial Development, LLC will reach out to each of these businesses.

Putnam County 911/Emergency Management will update with changes in the schedule as they occur, as they are highly likely in this field of work.
Please note that any/all dates are subject to change due to weather and/or other unforeseen conditions.
