(LOOTPRESS) – It was announced today that Southern WV Community & Technical College will be making a 40 Hour Surface Apprenticeship class available at the end of the month.
The course will be offered through the college’s Academy for Mine Training and Energy Technologies, and will take place from January 31st through February 4th at the Williamson Armory venue. As there may be limited availability for the course, pre-registration is required in order to reserve a spot.
Those attending the course will need to pay a $225 fee, which will cover the cost of necessary materials and supplies, as well as the class itself. This fee can be paid in person on the first day of class by cash, check or money order. It can also be paid online, through the college’s CE online payment portal.
The class will adhere to the face covering requirements and social distance protocols enacted by the CDC. As such, facemasks will be required and hand sanitizing stations will be made available. It is asked that those who attend provide their own face covering. The college has stated that, in the case of low enrollment, they do reserve the right to cancel the course.
Southern’s online payment portal can be accessed at www.southernwv.edu/continuing-education/ce-online-payment-portal/. For further information on the course and for registration, the office of the Academy for Mine Training and Energy Technologies can be contacted at (304) 896-7451 and (304) 896-7434.
