WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – After a record-breaking amount of tornadoes across West Virginia last week, more strong to severe storms are possible again on Thursday, April 11, 2024.
Today will be warm, with increasing chances for showers during the day.
Thunderstorms may develop during the afternoon and evening hours, then precipitation activity continues into tonight. Unsettled weather is expected for the rest of the work week, with some potentially heavier rainfall Wednesday night and Thursday.
Excessive rainfall on Thursday may lead to isolated flooding or, at the very least, rises to rivers, creeks, and streams. Strong to severe thunderstorms will also be possible along the Ohio River and west of there for Thursday.
A bit of reprieve will occur after Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, allowing a nice break across the area.
