BARBOURSVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man barricading himself in the attic of an apartment in West Virginia was successfully arrested by police following a coordinated effort among multiple agencies.
According to the Barboursville Police Department, a potentially dangerous situation was diffused at Quinton Court in Barboursville, just off Riverview Drive.
The Barboursville Police Department, along with assistance from the Cabell County Sheriff’s Department (CCSD), West Virginia State Police (WVSP), Cabell County Emergency Medical Services (CCEMS), Barboursville Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD), and 911, successfully handled an individual with a felony warrant who had reportedly barricaded himself in the attic of an apartment.
Following an extensive search, utilizing a pole camera to assess the situation, skilled officers engaged in negotiation to peacefully resolve the standoff.
To ensure a safe surrender, a measured use of pepper spray was employed, prompting the individual to cooperate willingly.
Subsequently, he was safely taken into custody and is now detained at the Western Regional Jail.
The individual’s name has not been released at this time.
