PARKERSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Authorities responded to several instances of trespassing in the Parkersburg area on Friday involving a female suspect.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, November 17th, 2023, sheriff’s deputies responded to the Microtel Inn located on Nicholette Road with regard to an unwanted individual on the property.
Upon arriving at the site of the reported incident, authorities were briefed by the hotel manager, who stated that the individual in question was inside one of the hotel’s rooms. The manager additionally advised that this individual had not paid for a room and needed to leave the premises.
The suspect was reportedly very irate, yelling and refusing to pack her things or leave. Deputies report that the individual eventually packed a few small bags to leave and departed through the hotel window so as to avoid being filmed on the hotel’s security camera system.
Later the same day, sheriff’s deputies responded to a Cracker Barrel location in Wood County with regard to an unwanted individual on the property. Authorities located the female individual in the restroom area where she became belligerent before complying with requests to leave. This individual was confirmed to have been trespassed from the Microtel Hotel earlier in the day.
Deputies responded once more to the Microtel Hotel later in the day, once more in reference to an unwanted female on the property. The individual was confirmed to have been the same individual who had previously been trespassed from the property earlier in the day, and it was reported that she had exposed her genitals to members of the hotel staff.
The female – identified as Julie Ann Powers, 43 years old and believed to be homeless – was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure and Trespassing before being transported to the holding center to be processed and placed at North Central Regional Jail.
