Manufactured by Novo Nordisk, NovoLog is a rapid-acting insulin that is used to control high blood sugar in children and adults with diabetes. Customers will need a prescription in order to receive the medication, which will be in Walmart pharmacies this week and in Sam’s Club pharmacies locations in mid-July.
“We know many people with diabetes struggle to manage the financial burden of this condition, and we are focused on helping by providing affordable solutions. We also know this is a condition that disproportionately impacts underserved populations,” said Dr. Cheryl Pegus, the Executive Vice President of Walmart Health and Wellness.
Walmart offers affordable diabetes resources that include blood glucose monitors, lancets, and other diabetes management in the ReliOn line of products.
