WAYNE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Dunlow Volunteer Fire Department has voluntarily closed due to not having a valid workers compensation insurance policy in place.
Officials with the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office confirmed today that Dunlow VFD did not have valid workers compensation coverage. After conferring with officials at Dunlow VFD, the department agreed to voluntarily close.
Although temporary, this closure is in effect until proper insurance coverage is in place.
Wayne County 911 has plans in place for neighboring departments to provide coverage during this
time.
