WAYNE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Four years ago, Rhonda Adams, a teacher at Wayne Elementary, lost her son Colt.
At the time of his passing, Colt was a student at Wayne High School, where he was known for always helping others. To honor her son’s memory and his love of giving back, Rhonda established a program called Colt’s Season of Giving.
This mission aims to raise money to assist the homeless in the Wayne County area. This year, the WES Leadership Team asked students and staff to donate $1 to help raise money for the 2024 Colt’s Season of Giving, and the WES community delivered, raising $400.
The school’s 5th grade Leadership Team, Ms. Adams and Mrs. Criswell recently went to Wal-Mart to purchase items to distribute to needy people.
Thank you, Ms. Adams, for continuing Colt’s memory with this mission, and thank you to all who donated to make this year’s Colt’s Season of Giving successful.
